| On
Sunday June 15, 2003 we attended the Newport Car show at Portsmouth
Abbey. We brought three Rolls Royce sedans and a Jaguar roadster.
I am proud to say the Robison Service cars won in both the
Rolls Royce and Jaguar classes.
The 1954 Jaguar XK120 roadster belonging to Steve Upton of South Deerfield won 1st place in Jaguar British Cars. Newport artist John Mecray took second place in his beautiful 1930s MG racer. The 1984 Rolls Royce Silver Spur belonging to Gene Cassidy of Longmeadow won 2nd place in Rolls Royce. A blue 1960s Bentley SII took 1st place. It
was a bright sunny day, with over 300 cars on the field. |
